The "Wiener Allianz für Gesundheitsförderung in Gesundheitseinrichtungen" (Vienna Alliance for Health Promotion in Health Services) was founded in 2007 on the initiative of the City of Vienna. The basic idea is to facilitate the systematic and regular exchange of experiences and knowledge on the implementation of health promotion activities between operators of health care services as well as the dissemination of good practice examples to protect and improve the health and well-being of patients and residents of hospitals and care services, their employees and the regional population.
Since its establishment, the scientific and organizational support of the Vienna Alliance has been provided by the Competence Centre for Health Promotion in Hospitals and Health Care (CC-HPH). The activities include the strategic consulting of the coordination office of the Vienna Alliance, the conception and organization of workshops, the editing of newsletters.
