Christa Straßmayr is a sociologist who studied at the University of Vienna. She has long-standing professional experience in research and project management of national and international projects in the field of health care provision and promotion. She is the international coordinator of the Health Literacy Survey 2019 (HLS19).
Her research interests are besides health literacy, mental health care and mental health promotion, financial mechanisms and incentives in health care. In addition to her research activities, she works as a consultant in the field of mental health promotion and addiction prevention.
